Event Details
Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM), the official prison ministry of the Standing Conference of the Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas (SCOBA) announces a day of training for the Mid-West Region: Jail and Prison Ministry 101. The purpose of this training is to bring together the many Orthodox clergy and laity from throughout North America who are participating in prison ministry or are interested in participating in prison ministry for a time of fellowship, education, encouragement, communal worship and the free exchange of ideas.
Jail and Prison Ministry 101 is a one day event meant to introduce prison ministry to those who are interested; to refresh people who are involved in jail and prison ministry by providing a time and place for connecting with others in similar ministry and an opportunity to improve our service. It is also a time to return to our Father together and on behalf of those we meet behind bars.
